Crystal Reports RDC and SalesLogix

In the next version, the Report desktop will become (I hear) a customizable mainview, plugin or whatever. Whatever it is, we will be able to customize and extend it with the SalesLogix Architect. Good times will be had by all when this happens because we will finally be able to do just about whatever we want with reporting.
At this point, reports will be launched with the Crystal Report Designer Component (RDC). But, you don't have to wait until then to take advantage of this feature. It's available now. If you wanted to, you could create your own reporting desktop (MainView) to handle your reporting needs. Personally, I would wait until the next version so you can leverage the work of the SalesLogix design team.
I've used the Crystal RDC for limited reporting needs in a couple of situations where I needed some control over the situation
